The Exchange Hotel’s Pop up Beach Bar is back for another year. Hitting literal shores on the 25th of January, you best believe your long weekend is sorted.
But the event won’t just be around for Aus Day, you’ll be able to enjoy your beach cocktails until 24th of February. The event runs from midday – 10pm every day, and the best thing is that it’s completely free.
The pop up will be found on Port Melbourne Beach, at the end of Bay street. There will be a container bar, full kitchen serving the freshest meals, ice cream, beach side cabanas, plenty of deck chairs and sun loungers, plus beach games such a volleyball, totem tennis as well as live music running Friday – Sunday. What a mouthful!
If you’re after a bit of a VIP experience there will be the option book a beach cabana and chill out with some mates. Perfect for groups of 2-4, each cabana can be booked out in 2 sessions, 12pm – 4:30pm for a day sesh, or 5pm -10pm for the sunset sesh. Enjoy full table service with your cabana.
The menu will offer tastes of summer, with fresh Wagyu beef skewers from the grill, burgers, salads and fresh seafood and mouth-watering, melt in the mouth lobster rolls. The ice-cream cart is serving up different flavours all month long, so I guess you’ll have to keep coming back to try them all.
Cocktails on tap include, Miami Iced Tea, Passionfruit Caprioska and Margarita Slushies. Of course there are cold beers on tap, wines by the carafe and if you’ve got a good crew, esky packages for your table.
That’s not all, The Exchange Hotel will also be offering Bottomless Sunset Sessions every Thursday from 6-8pm. Enjoy the sunset accompanied with bottomless cocktails on tap, beer, wines and an item of food from the seafood, burger, salad or skewer menu.
Djs will be spinning tunes every Friday and Saturday from 6pm – 10pm and Sundays from 1pm-5pm.
