The folks over at The National Hotel in Richmond are inviting people from near and far to come boogie with them John Travolta style at their week-long celebration and launch of their new dining room this spring!
The pan-Asian pub is located in the heart of Melbourne’s little Vietnam, on Victoria St in Richmond. From the 9th to the 14th of October there will be parties, feasts and special events every single day. Pop by to see the new furnishings, fireplace and fresh fit out of the revamped function space – it’s not something you’ll want to miss.
The seven day celebration will kick off with All You Can Eat Dumplings on Tuesday the 9th of October – no that’s not a typo. You’ll be able to try and put away as many dumplings as your body will allow you in two hours; a welcome challenge if you ask me.
On the 10th the space will transform into a wine and spice oasis, with guests being treated to a selection of perfectly paired wines and canapes, celebrating a variety of spices from around the world. Numbers are limited on both events as it is a sit down area, be sure to reserve your spot so you don’t miss out!
The party continues on the 11th with an installment of the frighteningly fun Murder Mystery pub trivia night. Create a team with your pals and solve the puzzle to win round prizes plus a mega $150 bar tab for you and your team. Espresso Martinis for everyone!
The music doesn’t stop there though, the celebrations continue into the weekend with the return of the beer garden and street-food BBQ. The kitchen will set up shop outdoor, grills a-blazing with succulent skewers and tasty tidbits to munch on in the sunshine; not to worry vegetarians, there will be plenty of options for you too!
The National has your hangover cure sorted too! Sunday brings the launch of the spring/summertime Bottomless Brunch series. Think unlimited bloody marys and mimosas in each hand from 12pm to 3pm plus your choice of snack plate. All this alongside resident DJs spinning epic tunes under the sunshine.
