Munich Brauhaus South Wharf

This sprawling, 900-seat waterfront bierhaus is home to Melbourne’s best and most authentic Oktoberfest experience, lasting from Saturday 22nd September to Sunday 28th October. Revelers can take part in a line-up of riotous Oktoberfest activities over the five weeks of celebration. A record-breaking chicken dance attempt will take place on Saturday 6th October, while the restaurant’s Oktober Boss program gives diners the chance to win a trip to Munich by ticking off five foodie challenges. On top of its activities, Munich Brauhaus offers a number of Oktoberfest menus throughout the celebrations, including a 3-course menu ($45pp), a 4-course menu ($60pp) and a shared feast menu ($64pp). The Bavarian Knox

Melbournians looking for a true taste of Oktoberfest outside Bavaria need look no further than The Bavarian Knox. In addition to a five-week calendar of special Oktoberfest menus, limited-edition Oktoberfest biers, fun foodie challenges, and the chance to win a trip to Munich, The Bavarian Knox will host an exclusive Oktoberfest party on Saturday 13th October. The party kicks off at 12.45pm with an official Oktoberfest keg tap, before The Bavarian’s lively and energetic oompah band takes to the stage. From 1pm, diners can throw themselves into a line-up of games and challenges including stein holding, hand-less sausage eating, yodelling and best dressed competitions.

Oktoberfest in the Gardens

Australia’s biggest and best Oktoberfest celebration returns again for 2018! Oktoberfest in the Gardens is inspired by traditional Bavarian festivals and great beer. This year’s festival is on October 13th and has authentic German food stalls, roving performers, silent disco, and an eclectic mix of entertainment and competitions throughout the afternoon and evening. Oktoberfest in the Gardens has a large selection of imported German beer, cider and wine. There will be a long list of German entertainers within the main beer hall, including German brass bands, yodellers, roving accordion players, and many more! HopHaus

Oktoberfest at HopHaus is like New Year’s, Christmas and your birthday all rolled into one, but with bier that’s far more delicious. HopHaus is bringing Munich to Melbourne, and want you to join them in celebrating from Friday 5th of October til Sunday the 14th October. HopHaus across the 10 days the festivities are running, have a huge variety of activities that will have something for literally anyone. From beer specials, to a sausage eating challenge, to dachshund race day, there is something for everyone! The annual dachshund race will have your tail-wagging on the 13th of October.
