Young George is a unique neighbourhood bar with a serious focus on food. Grab a table in the bar and settle in to drink great wine, cocktails, craft beer & cider.

Young George's bar is a laid back welcoming place. They don't take themselves too seriously but they do put a lot of thought into their drinks list. Both local and international wines star on the menu with the focus being on select vineyards. The beer list also ensures the biggest beer lover can peruse with enthusiasm. The cocktails are a mix of classics and some of our own inventive creations.

They pride themselves on serving up an eclectic sharing style menu full of tasty bold flavoured foods with global influences. The focus is on ingredients that are seasonal and local and the wood fired oven play an integral part in their extensive menu.

Head Chef Melissa Palinkas puts a lot of time & passion into perfecting her house made charcuterie with a rotating selection of dried sausages and meat. There is also a great selection of creative veggie dishes on the menu too.

Breakfast is served Friday-Saturday where you simply cannot go past their delicious brunch style menu for an indulgent weekend breakfast with family and friends.

During the week between 12pm and 4pm you can pick up 3 small plates for an extremely wallet friendly $25 and in a nod to the former existence of Young George they pack the wood fired oven full of pizza on Tuesday nights where $15 gets you a pizza plus a beer or wine…and the pizzas are so good they sell out most Tuesdays.

Come Sunday, the Roast pork shoulder is their kick ass classic which brings in the crowds week after week which is roasted overnight in the wood oven with local apple wood. Accompanied by a Young Henry's cloudy cider for $25, it takes all the effort out of Sunday lunch and caps off the week beautifully.
